Aki joined Hogan Lovells Tokyo office in 2009. During that time she also worked in our Alicante and London offices between 2012 and 2015. In our Tokyo office Aki currently works with many well-known and innovative brand owners to proactively protect and enforce their trademarks and designs globally.
Aki is registered as a UK Trade Mark Attorney and holds Higher Courts Litigation and Advocacy qualifications accredited by the UK Intellectual Property Regulation Board. She has extensive experience in all matters relating to prosecution and enforcement of European trade marks.
Acting for a multinational conglomerate corporation in relation to a numbers of direct negotiations with counter parties, amicably settling cases in UK, Italy, France, Denmark, Benelux, Bulgalia etc. and prevailing oppositions / invalidation actions in Spain, France, UK, Germany, Switzerland and the EU.
Acting for a well-known Japanese online market provider in relation to its global trademark portfolio management in over 50 jurisdictions and domain name dispute resolutions at WIPO and several other IP Arbitration Centers. Prevailing oppositions in Turkey and UK.
