Matt serves as a dedicated advocate for his clients, driven by achieving positive outcomes that are fair but also commercially practical. In 2024, Matt was appointed as a fee-paid Judge of the First-tier Tribunal, sitting in the Immigration and Asylum Chamber on a part-time basis. Matt was also elected to serve on the Council of the Law Society of England and Wales to represent the interests of solicitors of Central London.
Before joining Hogan Lovells, Matt honed his expertise in dispute resolution and investigations at a leading international law firm’s London office. During this time, he also completed a secondment at a major investment bank, further enhancing his understanding of corporate dynamics and regulatory complexities. He also articled with a top-ranked litigation and insolvency boutique firm in Toronto.
Prior to his legal career, Matt’s tenure in public policy and political management roles equipped him with valuable skills in industry advocacy, government relations, and policy analysis, which continue to inform and complement his legal practice.
