Arturo Tiburcio has more than 30 years of experience in the public and private sectors. He is the leader of Hogan Lovells´ Tax practice in Mexico. His main practice is consulting and tax controversies regarding income tax, value added tax, double taxation treaties and transfer pricing.

He has a postgraduate degree in tax law issued by the Universidad Panamericana; he also holds an international taxation diploma from Santiago de Compostela University. He has taught law at different universities in the country and has participated in various forums and conferences in Mexico and abroad.

After 16 years as a leading partner in tax matters at Barrera, Siqueiros y Torres Landa (now Hogan Lovells), in March 2013, he founded his own firm called Tiburcio Abogados. He rejoined Hogan Lovells as a partner in Tax practice in April 2015.

He is member of the International Fiscal Association (IFA) in Mexico. He has been recognized by Chambers Latin America as a well-rounded practitioner with strong litigation and consulting skills.
