Ryan M. Campbell advises businesses in navigating the ever-changing privacy and cybersecurity landscape. He helps provide clients with actionable solutions to complex domestic and international regulatory challenges. Ryan works on a diverse set of matters, including global investigations, mergers and acquisitions, public policy advocacy, incident response and preparedness, AI governance, and consumer privacy compliance.

Ryan has prior experience working on privacy and consumer protection issues at the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, the Federal Communications Commission, the Future of Privacy Forum, and with the ACLU of Northern California’s Technology & Civil Liberties team. While in law school, Ryan served as the managing editor of the Berkeley Technology Law Journal, participated in the Samuelson Law, Technology, & Public Policy Clinic, was a research assistant focused on privacy law, and led pro-bono organizations that provided services to unhoused communities and incarcerated youth. With a breadth of experience, Ryan leverages a multifaceted approach for clients and evaluates risk from various perspectives.

Ryan is an IAPP Certified Information Privacy Professional in the European Union (CIPP/E) and the United States (CIPP/US).
