Brian regularly represents managers of public and private pension funds in acquisitions, joint ventures, development transactions, financings and dispositions. He is well versed in the tax, REIT and ERISA rules that govern the behavior of tax-exempt investors, sovereign wealth funds and high net worth investors. Brian has extensive experience advising fiduciaries and bank sponsored open-end and closed-end funds type.
Brian has been a principal attorney in the formation and operation of global investment funds, debt funds, alternative property funds, opportunity funds and bank collective trust funds. He recently restructured a core real estate fund with a NAV exceeding $40 Billion.
In addition to bringing mature judgment and keen business acumen to the table, Brian has over 35 years of front line experience in dealing with the real world issues that affect the performance of real estate assets, including environmental issues, bankruptcy, tax issues, distress, defects, casualties, condemnation, litigation and land use restrictions.
