Powering the Future: Harnessing Offshore Wind as critical infrastructure and improving operational efficiency through cybersecurity and advanced software applications
Offshore Wind is critical infrastructure and under increasing threat of physical- and cyber-attacks. Russian submarines are being seen spying around European offshore wind farms, hackers never sleep. Policymakers are working on legislation aimed at strengthening the resilience of Europe’s critical infrastructure.
At the same time, offshore wind is getting ever more digital and relying on new software applications. Developers and OEMs are facing challenges to remain compliant but to use the full benefits of digitalization at the same time. In our next breakfast we will be covering these challenges in three related presentations:
Vincent Dehullu, International Business Developer at e-BO Enterprises, is an energy and ICT expert with more than 25 years’ experience globally, active in smart energy grids, offshore wind energy, energy management for transport grid connected customers in regulated and deregulated markets. Holding a Master in Electrical Power Engineering, post graduate European Law, Master in Business Administration – General Management.
Rita Desmyter, Head of Sales at Kraken, brings over 15 years of experience in building strategies, managing complex projects, developing partnerships, commercialising products, and fulfilling client needs. With a deep-rooted passion for sustainability, Rita honed her expertise in the energy sector at LCPDelta, a research and consultancy firm, before specialising in the technological aspects of the energy transition.
Pia Heckenberger is an associate in Hogan Lovells Frankfurt IERP team and specializing, inter alia, in regulatory topics relevant for the energy industry.
