Over recent years, Henrik has been heavily involved in the "smartphone wars" and helped his industry clients in litigation both against competitors and non-practicing entities. He has extensive experience in litigating high-tech patents with technologies ranging from chip architecture over software applications to various telecommunication standards. When it comes to standard-essential patents, he also advises on competition law aspects (FRAND defense).
Another focus of Henrik's practice is on the automotive sector. Here, he does not only represent his clients in cases concerning classical automobile technologies. With his experience gained from numerous "high-tech" cases, he is also able to advise on hot topics such as connected cars and automated driving.
As many of his cases are linked to foreign litigation, Henrik is very experienced in coordinating litigation strategies with other jurisdictions and in cooperating with teams in other European countries and in the US.
Henrik studied law in Bonn and Potsdam and holds a Ph.D. in copyright law from the University of Kiel.
