Hogan Lovells advises New Jersey Seabirds Angling Club in landmark deal with Sport Fishing Championship

New York, Boston, 20 March 2025 – Global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised the New Jersey Seabirds Angling Club on a landmark deal with the Sport Fishing Championship (SFC). The agreement between the SFC and its 11 Angling Club owners has finalized the terms for the 2025 season and beyond, setting the stage for the professional offshore fishing league.

14 Angling Clubs, including the New Jersey Seabirds, representing various regions, will compete in the SFC's upcoming season under its new professional format, with a total prize pool of US$2 million at stake.
