Led by Hamburg partner Dr. Alexander Koch, global law firm Hogan Lovells has advised the Danish private investment and holding company KIRKBI A/S on the acquisition of a minority stake in AMBOSS SE in the context of a wider transaction lead by KIRKBI and including several other investors with a total volume of EUR 240m. 

AMBOSS is a leading global medical knowledge platform that offers learning tools, as well as evidence-based medical guidance and clinical decision support, to medical students, physicians, and other healthcare professionals.

KIRKBI is the holding company of the LEGO Group and other companies owned by the Kirk Kristiansen family. KIRKBI develops and owns businesses that help build a better future for children around the world and actively engages in its businesses with the long-term perspective needed to make a lasting difference. 

Hogan Lovells advised long-standing client KIRKBI on all legal aspects of the transaction, including legal due diligence, transaction structuring, and transaction documentation, including corporate law, intellectual property, data protection, employment, and regulatory considerations.
