Hogan Lovells 2024 Election Impact and Congressional Outlook Report
The event featured live entertainment and remarks from Hogan Lovells CEO Miguel Zaldivar; Board Chair Marie-Aimée de Dampierre; Regional Managing Partner José María Balañá; José Luis Vázquez, Managing Partner of the Madrid office, and former Managing Partners José Luis Huerta and Lucas Osorio. In their speeches, the leadership team reflected on the evolution of the office, which began in 2004 with just three partners and seven lawyers, and has grown into a first-class team of 22 partners and over 100 lawyers.
“For twenty years, we have been trusted advisors to our clients in Spain and around the world on their most complex legal matters. Our track record goes beyond numbers,” said Miguel Zaldivar. “It’s about the strong relationships we have built with our clients, our deep legal knowledge, and the complex cross-border work that defines our firm.”
José Luis Vázquez added, “In a market once dominated by local firms, we have established our presence by attracting top legal talent and fostering a culture of leadership. We have come a long way since the office was founded, and we are proud to celebrate this milestone following our record-breaking financial year in Spain in 2023, surpassing €60 million in turnover. As one of Spain’s leading law firms, we take pride in our leadership across key sectors, delivering results locally, throughout Europe, and globally.”
Earlier this year, the office relocated to a new building at Paseo de la Castellana 77, which spans five floors and offers panoramic views of Madrid. Castellana 77 has received multiple accolades, including Best Office Architecture in Spain (2017-2018), LEED Platinum certification, WELL Gold certification, and AIS 5 Stars for accessibility.
As Hogan Lovells celebrates this important milestone in Madrid, it remains dedicated to delivering exceptional legal services and making a positive impact on both the legal profession and the broader community.
