Miami, FL, 8 April 2025 -- Daniel E. González (Dan), Partner and Head of Hogan Lovells’ Miami International Arbitration practice group, was recently appointed as Co-Chair elect of the International Arbitration Committee of the American Bar Association (ABA). As Co-Chair, Dan will play a pivotal role in setting the priorities for and steering the direction of this committee by building a leadership team and developing programs for ABA conferences, webinars, and committee meetings.

Upon learning of his appointment, Dan said: "It is truly an honor to be selected as Co-Chair elect of the ABA International Arbitration Committee. In taking on this significant role within the ABA, Dan continues to stand out as a leader in international arbitration and further enhances Hogan Lovells' reputation as a global leader in legal services. In March, he was formally inducted into the International Academy of Trial Lawyers (IATL), one of the most respected legal associations in the world.

Dan has served in multiple firm management positions, including the Global Head of the firm's International Arbitration practice and as a member of the firm's Global Board of Directors. A top trial lawyer in Miami and Chambers ranked, he dedicates his full-time practice to international commercial litigation and arbitration, representing clients and sovereigns in "bet-the-company" cases in the United States, Canada, Latin America, Asia, and Europe. He provides fully bilingual counsel in common and civil law jurisdictions to effectively provide strategy and analysis to achieve favorable results. He is a member of the International Chamber of Commerce Committee to Latin America. He serves on various task forces related to virtual hearings and diversity within international arbitration and on the Board of Directors of the Miami International Arbitration Society, including serving in the past as its Chairman. He is also a professor of advocacy in international arbitration and is often asked to serve as an arbitrator or international mediator in complex construction and commercial disputes.
