The firm advised Orlando Health in its US$439 million acquisition of three Florida space coast hospitals from the bankrupt Steward Health Care with a team of more than 60 lawyers led by partners Erin Brady, Ken Field, Christine Pallares, and Todd Schwartz. This deal won Section 363 Sale of the Year (over US $100million) in the M&A Transaction Award Category and highlights Hogan Lovells’ regulatory and transactional capabilities in the Life Sciences & Health Care sector.
The firm also won Industrials Deal of the Year (over US$1 billion) in the Sector Award Category, for our work on the merger of Eagle Bulk and Star Bulk led by partner John Beckman. John and the Hogan Lovells team advised the board of directors of Eagle Bulk Shipping Inc. in its definitive agreement to combine with Star Bulk Carriers Corp.
