She is a member of the Tax Practice Group, focusing her practice on the design, negotiation and implementation of structures for the financing of assets -such as vessels, films and research & development projects - based on a wide variety of tax incentives, providing global advice throughout the whole life of the transaction.
In the advice to tax-based financing structures, Patricia participates in the design and analysis of structures further to EU and Spanish regulations; support to asset producers in the initial negotiations with their clients; drafting and negotiation of the agreements for the implementation of the structures; assistance during the whole life of the transaction covering tax, mercantile and financing aspects; advice in the entrance of new investors; assistance to tax audits regarding this kind of transactions; assistance in procedures initiated by the European Commission, and advice in legal proceedings before the European Court of Justice.
Regarding these kinds of transactions, Patricia has been part of the teams advising financial institutions, acting as structuring entities, and industrial associations, as well as companies producing and acquiring the financed assets. Additionally, Patricia has participated in the assistance to national and international clients in both direct and indirect taxation. She has taken part in teams advising on global acquisitions of assets, cross border mergers and real estate transactions, among others.
Patricia has a dual degree in Law and Business Administration from Universidad Complutense de Madrid and speaks Spanish, English and French
