Polly Sims focuses her practice at Hogan Lovells on commercial and strategic transactions and protecting and monetizing client technology and intellectual property assets. Before she began her legal career, Polly was a systems engineer for a large global security and aerospace company and provided support in information systems assurance and security to a government client. Today, this experience augments her understanding of the technology and intellectual property issues that clients face.

Polly’s work includes commercial and technology-based transactions; patent, trademark, and trade secret litigation; and patent and trademark prosecution. She has a deep understanding of strategic transactions, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and due diligence investigations. In addition, she assists clients in patent portfolio analysis and counseling. She advises clients in a wide range of industries and technologies, including energy, e-commerce, automotive, aerospace and defense, consumer products, industrial products, IT, and media and entertainment.
