Bethan Savage is an associate in the London office of Hogan Lovells and a member of the firm’s international insurance and reinsurance team.

Bethan is developing a broad insurance practice, helping insurers, reinsurers and (re)insurance intermediaries as well as corporate policyholders navigate the UK insurance regulatory landscape. She has been involved in a wide range of matters including transactional and advisory and has also been involved in the disputes work undertaken by the team.

Prior to her qualification, Bethan spent six months in Hong Kong on international secondment where she advised international clients on a variety of high-profile contentious bankruptcies and litigation cases.

Representative experience

Reviewing and negotiating credit insurance policies in light of the UK Capital Requirements Regulations

Advising insurance intermediaries on insurance regulations in relation to their proposed arrangements in the UK

Reviewing professional and general liability, cyber and employee liability policy wordings for corporate clients

Representing a policyholder in relation to a high-value dispute under a W&I policy

Advising corporate policyholders on the merits of insurance claims and gathering data to build cases
