Isabel manages a hybrid loans and securitisation practice, with a particular focus on real estate finance.  She advises on originations of loans and notes backed by commercial and residential properties throughout Europe and across all property asset classes.  Isabel is also highly experienced in advising on loan-on-loan transactions, property loan portfolio acquisitions, both performing and non-performing, and enforcements and restructurings of loans and CMBS.

She also advises on financings backed by CBILS, RLS and ENABLE loans, credit card receivables, invoice discounting arrangements, buy-now-pay later receivables, non-performing assets, and other esoteric assets in the fintech space. Isabel has spent time on secondment to the commercial real estate desk of a global investment bank and twice to the alternative finance team of a US investment manager. She has been practising for 14 years.

Advised commercial real estate debt funds advised by a U.S. investment manager on their lending of €42.8m to finance the ground up development of two German logistics properties.

Advised the lender of a new €180m financing platform to finance the acquisition, renovation and letting by a French start-up of residential properties as co-living spaces across France and Belgium.

Advised a fund on its provision of a £175m financing to a major UK bridge mortgage lender, with back-leverage provided by a bank by way of a bespoke agreement amongst noteholders.

Advised a fund in respect of its hotel franchise arrangements relating to its £400m strategic investments into Portugal.

Advised a fund in relation to its borrowing of a £223m loan on loan financing secured by UK residential buy-to-let properties.

Advised a renewable energy company on the $50m financing of the development of hydroelectric power facilities in Kenya, Tanzania and Burundi.

Advised a liquidity facility provider in respect of its position on a defaulted CMBS undergoing a note and loan-level restructuring.

Advised a participant in the €249m Thunder Logistics 2024-1 CMBS, backed by big box logistics properties in Germany, The Netherlands, France and Spain.
