Anne-Kathrin Lauer advises clients on all aspects of EU and German competition law, including the rapidly evolving EU Foreign Subsidies Regulation (FSR).
Anne brings extensive experience in navigating the competition law complexities of cross-border M&A transactions. She guides clients through multinational merger control proceedings and FSR requirements to achieve the successful completion of the transaction. Anne also develops bespoke compliance strategies and advises clients on commercial collaborations – whether with competitors or within supply chains. Her work spans a variety of industries, with particular experience in the automotive and healthcare sectors.
Anne is passionate about delivering clear, solution-oriented advice that empowers her clients to achieve their strategic goals while mitigating regulatory risks. Anne studied law at the University of Heidelberg, where she also earned her doctoral degree, and the University of Leeds, UK. Before joining Hogan Lovells, she developed her competition law expertise at leading international law firms in Düsseldorf and Beijing, China. Her international background and deep understanding of global markets make her a trusted advisor for complex, multinational matters.
