A Litigator at Heart 

As a Counsel in Hogan Lovells’ Dusseldorf office Julian Knecht is a member of the Dispute Resolution practice group. He advises on all areas of domestic and cross-border commercial and civil law disputes. He represents clients in judicial and extrajudicial proceedings. Apart from court proceedings, Julian has represented clients in International Chamber of Commerce (ICC), German Institution of Arbitration (Deutsche Institution für Schiedsgerichtsbarkeit—DIS), and ad hoc international arbitration proceedings. 

Furthermore, Julian has developed capabilities advising and representing clients in liability proceedings with a technological background as well as proven abilities in the automotive sector. With broad experience in handling various large-scale litigation and mass claims mandates Julian posessed the skills to comprehensively assess the strategic and economic aspects of each complex dispute and dispute management.

Leading German power plant engineering and construction company: Advising on several international EPC arbitration under ICC and DIS rules.

Leading global infrastructure company: Advising in relation to cartel damage claims arising out of several supplier cartels.

Leading German energy and technology company: Advising in DIS arbitration proceedings regarding the construction of a solar park.

Global stock listed OEM: Representation and advising on national mass-litigation and class action and related project management.

German steel manufacturer: Representation and advising in a several billion euro DIS arbitration.

International Investment Group: Advising in several litigations regarding real estate sales and management.

International e-mobility Group: Advising and representing in several litigation and interim relief proceedings. 

Leading technology group: Advising litigation proceedings against former management board members regarding damage claims in relation to cartel damage claims.
