The announcement was made by Presidio and Maurizio Setti, and Presidio is committed to building upon the foundation created by Mr. Setti during his leadership of the Club over the past 13 seasons.
The Club will be led by an accomplished Board of Directors, including Executive Chairman Italo Zanzi, former CEO of AS Roma, Managing Director of FOX Sports Asia and Vice President of Major League Baseball.
Maurizio Setti will remain involved with the Club in a new role as Senior Advisor of Football Operations, supporting the activities of the football staff and the Sporting Director, Sean Sogliano. Simona Gioè will remain in a senior leadership role within the Club and will be joined by seasoned global sports executives Gennaro Leo and Sean Foley.
The Hogan Lovells deal team was led by Eric Andalman (Denver), Paola Barometro (Milan), Matthew Eisler (New York and Denver), and Patrizio Messina (Rome and Milan). They were supported by partner Serena Pietrosanti (Rome), counsel Benoît Serraf (Luxembourg), senior associates Martino Filippi and Federico Urbani (both Milan), Andrew Klokiw (New York) and Fabrizio Grillo (Rome), visiting international Lawyer Harrison Gower (New York), associate Edoardo Pea (Milan), and trainee Piermaurizio Francesconi (Milan).
The deal on Presidio’s side was led by Christian Puscasiu (MP) and Dirk Swaneveld (Principal).
The Deloitte Sports Business Group provided Presidio Investors with financial, tax, and commercial due diligence and M&A advisory services, with an international team led by and including Richard Hopkins-Burton, Tim Bridge, Theo Ajadi, Robbie Gemmill, Tommaso Noseda, Alex Whalley, and Valentina Santini.
