New York, 17 March 2025 - Global law firm Hogan Lovells announced today that Natalie K. Edwards has joined as Head of NY Financial Institutions M&A in our New York office. Edwards, who will be a part of the Mergers & Acquisitions practice area, joins us from Apis & Heritage Capital Partners.

“We are thrilled to have Natalie joining our practice group,” said James Doyle, Practice Group Leader - Corporate & Finance. “She has built a sterling reputation with over 20 years of combined law firm and in-house experience, executing strategic corporate and commercial transactions in the U.S. and globally.”

Prior to her time as Managing Director & Partner, Head of Legal & Compliance at Apis & Heritage Capital Partners, she served as Managing Director, Global Head of Corporate M&A Legal at Citigroup Inc. Before that, she worked in private practice, as counsel at Linklaters LLP, and an associate at Cravath, Swaine & Moore LLP. In addition to her focus in financial services, Edwards’ practice spans a variety of industries and sectors beyond banking, including healthcare and technology.

“Natalie’s considerable experience builds upon the strength of our robust M&A team,” said Bill Curtin, Practice Area Lead – M&A. “As we continue to build out our proficiency in financial institutions M&A, her work in domestic and cross-border M&A and private equity matters, as well as her deep understanding of critical strategic drivers, regulatory relationships, execution risk dynamics, and post-transaction risk assessments, make her a great addition to the group.”

Sharon Lewis, Sector Head for Hogan Lovells’ Financial Institutions Sector, added, “We’re so happy to welcome Natalie. With her background, she’ll be a great asset to our clients in the Financial Institutions Sector, both large and smaller regional banks, non-bank lenders, asset managers, funds, and fintech companies.”

Edwards said: “I am thrilled to join Hogan Lovells, a firm committed to building upon its New York M&A capabilities. The firm’s global reach and specifically its strength and focus on financial institutions make it a perfect fit for me to continue to expand my practice.”

“We are delighted to welcome Natalie to the New York office,” said Michael Kuh, Office Managing Partner, New York. “New York is the finance capital of the world, and much of our high-profile M&A work is based here. She will play a crucial role as we continue our strategic growth in the market.”

Edwards earned her J.D. From Columbia Law School and her B.A. in Political Science from Columbia College.
