Omar Guerrero has mastered the "10-thousand-hour rule" in civil and commercial litigation, arbitration, and antitrust. Based in Mexico City, he co-heads our arbitration and litigation, and antitrust practices.

Omar is currently the Office Managing Partner for the Mexico City and Monterrey offices. With three postgraduate degrees, including an LL.M from LSE, he brings vast experience to the table. Omar has advised a wide range of industries —energy, pharmaceuticals, telecom, food, consumer electronics, and more— helping them navigate disputes and antitrust challenges.

Omar's passion for litigation is evident. His persuasive storytelling has swayed tribunals, judges, and even Supreme Court justices. Omar is party counsel in a wide array of commercial arbitration proceedings under the most known arbitration institutions. He is also very active in investor-state arbitrations, and has acted as expert witness in such proceedings. He also serves as an arbitrator, deciding cases with the same rigor he brings to his advocacy. Omar has a strong background in administrative litigation, including discrimination cases.

In antitrust, a passion that he has devoted for more than 30 years, Omar tackles abuse of dominance and cartel investigations, and other proceedings with a hands-on approach. He not only tries cases but also educates and mentors others in the field. His work spans competition authorities and federal courts, including the Federal Supreme Court where he has secured landmark victories.

Omar is also an academic at heart, having authored over 45 pieces on competition, litigation, arbitration and digital technologies. He taught at undergraduate and master level on these topics, reinforcing his commitment to delivering valuable client solutions.

Omar is a team player and enjoys his family and sharing with them his three passions: travel, tennis and running.
