Kate has expertise in the areas of sanctions, export control, customs, trade compliance and trade agreements, covering both UK and Australian law. Kate covers a wide range of sectors, but has a particular focus on energy, oil & gas, manufacturing, finance and life sciences. Kate's experience includes being seconded to BP as international trade regulatory counsel during the Russia crisis.
Kate also has extensive compliance experience in AML and ABC matters such as designing and carrying out risk assessments, designing and implementing policy programs and procedures, providing training, carrying out investigations and liaising with regulators, advisory work and transactional support.

*Advising clients in a wide range of sectors on economic and trade sanctions, including compliance programmes, transactional support, reporting and investigations*
*Acting as international trade counsel for an oil major during the Russia crisis, while on secondment
*Carrying out AML and ABC investigations and advising on reporting issues across manufacturing, life sciences and energy clients
Advising an engine manufacturer on export control, including dual-use and classification questions, and issues around potential military end-use*
Advising a plant machinery manufacturer on questions of potential WMD end-use concerns*
