Percy helps companies to navigate sanctions, export controls, foreign investment rules, and other trade matters in Greater China and across the Asia-Pacific region. She speaks native Cantonese and Mandarin. Percy works across our global Trade and Investment team and has an in-depth knowledge of global trade regulations coupled with extensive local knowledge.
Percy has developed her practice to cover a comprehensive array of regulatory works in the space of sanctions, export controls, and investment restrictions.
She regularly assists clients in assessing the applicability of economic sanctions, export controls and investment restrictions to the clients’ businesses, for their initial public offerings (IPOs) in Hong Kong and in governmental and regulatory bodies' investigations.
Percy also advises clients on the U.S. outbound investment security regime, U.S. export controls of advanced computing components to China, and strategies on geopolitical risk management.
During law school, Percy interned at the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office in London and a major Chinese state-owned shipping conglomerate.
Percy is also a Council Member of a Hong Kong Chief Executive Election Committee (Legal Subsector) qualifying listed body, specified in Annex 6 of the Schedule of the Chief Executive Election Ordinance (Cap. 569).
