Johari is an associate in our Infrastructure, Energy, Resources, and Projects (IERP) practice in London.  She advises clients on the development of projects in the power, oil and gas, energy transition and mining sectors, with a particular focus on Africa and the Caribbean. She also advises clients on complex M&A transactions and joint venture arrangements in the energy and infrastructure sectors.  

Representative experience

A Sierra Leonean developer on the development of a 27 MW hydroelectric project in Sierra Leone.

Project developers, including ProMarks and Enterprise Power, on the development of interconnector / transmission projects across Africa, including power supply and offtake arrangements.

A consortium led by bp on the US$45bn Shah Deniz 2 gas project in Azerbaijan, and a 3,500km gas value chain to Italy.

A listed mining company in relation to its power supply arrangements and mining developments.

A renewable investment fund on its acquisition of a solar power plant in Rwanda.

A consortium of DFIs on its investment in a portfolio of renewables projects in Southern Africa.

An energy major on new country entries in Africa.

An energy company on regulatory interventions in transactions affecting licences to operate in the North Sea.
