Orseck, who served as Co-Managing Partner of Kramer Levin’s Washington, D.C. Office (with Windom) and was Chair of their Litigation Practice, has led the defense of billion-dollar federal securities class actions and related shareholder derivative suits. He also represented some of the biggest national public health care companies, hedge funds, banks, and public accounting firms. He has tried all manner of civil cases, and defends clients in investigations and enforcement proceedings by the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Public Company Accounting Oversight Board (PCAOB). Orseck founded and led the litigation boutique Robbins, Russell, Englert, Orseck & Untereiner LLP, and previously served in the Civil Division of the U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ).

Trunk represents corporations, financial institutions, hedge funds, and other clients in a wide range of complex commercial litigation. He has tried cases in federal and state courts across the country, argued appeals in the U.S. Circuit Courts of Appeal, and represented parties before the U.S. Supreme Court. Trunk represents hedge funds and other investors in litigation arising from complex refinancing and liability-management transactions. He also defends companies and their boards of directors against derivative lawsuits, breach of fiduciary duty claims, and related matters.
Windom, who served as Kramer Levin’s Co-Managing Partner of Washington, D.C. (with Orseck) and as the Co-Head of Kramer Levin’s Health Care Practice Group, represents clients in complex civil litigation, securities and shareholder litigation, government investigations, and enforcement actions. Her clients include publicly traded companies, major financial institutions, accounting firms, and hedge funds. She frequently represents clients in the highly regulated areas of health care, government contracting, public accounting and banking, and often leads matters that present parallel civil, criminal and regulatory risks.
Madden represents clients in high-stakes trial, enforcement, and appellate matters involving bankruptcy and investment-related litigation, securities class actions, auditor defense, and complex commercial cases. His work includes representing bondholders and other creditors at trial and on appeal in corporate and municipal reorganizations in a variety of industries. He also represents debtors as special litigation and investigations counsel. He defends public companies, their directors and officers, accounting firms, and other professionals in securities class actions and related litigation.
